On behalf of the Limpopo BEC committee, I like to say
congratulations to the branch for being awarded the best 2013 branch at the
LIASA Annual Conference which was held in Cape Town from the 08-11
October and winning the membership increase challenge as well. The
branch membership has increase by 40% . Our branch 2012-2014 strategic plan
clearly outlined that we wanted to increase the branch visibility ,
increase membership, involve and partner with various stakeholder for the
development of the LIS profession, ensure good governance etc.
It is with great pleasure to announce that all that has been achieve and as a results the LIASA LIMPOPO BRANCH was bestowed with the prestigious President Award. The hard work has paid off and we are very proud of our branch for setting an example of how the business of LIASA should be conducted and to promote the aims and objectives of our profession. A big thank to our members, without you we won’t have a branch. You have demonstrated your undying support and participation to ensure our existence and success. We will be having a celebration function as follows:
