BRANCH NEWSLETTER MADE WAVES

I am happy to inform you that our 1st branch newsletter was well received and we have received admiring messages from members of the branch as well as other branches.

All of them commented on the same thing, that the branch newsletter was well structured, informative and impressive.

The bar has been set and we have to keep the momentum going. See some of the comments made. A job well done to the branch!!!!!!!!!

CELEBRATING WORLD BOOK DAY -23 APRIL 2013

World Book Day is an internationally recognised event that celebrates the importance of books and a love for reading.
On that note what are you reading today?

As the LIASA theme for the World Book and Copyright Day: “In books I find”, I found myself pondering about what is it that I get when I read books and it is basically my A,B,C,D... which makes out the words I read and here they are:
In books I find:
A – Answers
B – Base
C - Character
D – Destiny
E – Exhilaration
F - Friends
G – Gratification
H -Humour
I - Information
J - Joy
K - Knowledge
L – Laugher
M -Mystery
N - Nurturing
O – Odyssey
P – Power
Q - Quest
R - Refinement
S – Serenity
T – Taste
U – Uniqueness
V – Voice
W – Wisdom
X – Xenophilia

LIMPOPO BRANCH SOUTH AFRICAN LIBRARY WEEK CELEBRATIONS IN PICTURES

The annual South African library week presents practitioners in the field with an opportunity to pause for a moment and consider giving back to the community in order to continue with their tradition of highlighting and raising the profile of libraries.

We believe as a branch that we have succeeded in carrying out this responsibility of developing a reading culture and promotion of education through books. As the 2013 theme of the SA Library Week celebration indicates, we have, in partnership with the University of Limpopo Library and various stakeholders, made a donation of books as a part of our community outreach and celebrations.

Masealama comunity Library receive 1157 new books, 300 was donated to Rivubye High School and a total of 200 books to the University of Limpopo Students who participated during this celebration. view our various celebrations in pictures.
